When I was at Harrahs Reno last week, I discovered that the City of Reno had just opened a free Wi-Fi facility at city hall. It was usable, but somewhat weak, in my room on the 13th floor (I didn't know casinos had 13th floors!). I had a little trouble a couple of times using it for sites that had secure logons, like eBay and some stock brokers, but most of the time it worked. Worth checking if you stay downtown in the future. Note that Harrahs STILL provides no highspeed internet for guests... not wired, and not wireless. You have to use dialup, or find a hotspot run by someone else.
