If you see a chip listed on eBay and don't know anything about it, why would you bid high for it?
I know the auction is short on details, but it does say "Commemorative Chip".
Still my point is, why would anyone bid up a price or bid high for a chip, when they don't know if it's a fake, Borland or a real chip that had 10,000 made and it's only worth a buck?
Ever see an auction where it's something you can find in ten other auctions, and for some reason a few people get into a bidding war. They can go find the same thing for less but for some reason, "If someone else is bidding high, it must be worth something."
My point is that if I don't know what it is, or what it's worth, I don't bid on it. Chips, computer parts, whatever... Education is the best self protection.
Good news, you can always ask here, if you want information.
