I don't know why I bother sometimes trying to explain anything to the unfortunate few who bully the ChipBoard. These bullies accomplish nothing other than intimidating potential new members from joining the hobby. Others who were active participants in the ChipBoard have commented to me in e-mails that they too are getting tired of this ChipBoard click and have simply stopped making public postings. I guess their intimidation works sometimes. Congratulations.
Looking back in my records since over the last 2 months I’ve made the several trades, despite the repeated negative comments from this click. These were all private trades between the two parties, so I hesitate in listing them in this public forum, but am doing so in hopes that hobbyists do not take the ranting of people like Wayne at face value.
Since joining the hobby I’ve grown my collection of $1 chips from about 180 to over 1,400. Here are just some of the good people I traded with recently:
04 Feb - Mark Lighterman
14 Feb - Pam Holmgren
18 Feb - Rob Lange
24 Feb - David Shaver
24 Feb - Allan McCurdy
26 Feb - Ray Smith
26 Feb - Gary Wieck
26 Feb - Mark Lighterman
28 Feb - William Pugh
28 Feb - Tyler Galusha
28 Feb - Gary Wieck
01 Mar - Linda Weisenstein
14 Mar - Paul Sax
21 Mar - Luke Rapley
21 Mar - Fred DeKeyser
21 Mar - David Clarke
21 Mar - Paul Bachtel
These are just the trades. There were many more purchases involving PayPal or checks. The only complaint, I believe, was an unusual delay in getting chips to Canada, but the package finally arrived postmarked with the date I sent them.
On 21 Mar I sent out 4 packages. For some reason Paul’s did not arrive. I had no reason to single him out having not traded with him prior. The other 3 packages all arrived.
Again, I don't know why I bother sometimes trying to explain anything, for those of you who continue to trade with me I hope you enjoy the chips as much as I do and wish you all happy chipping.
P.S. Ken Nestle – Your $1 Boardwalk Regency chip will go out in Monday’s mail. Enjoy.
