playing at home. Basically the casino game is exactly the same except much more structured. Here are a few tims and things to remember that are different from a normal home game.
1) You must call, raise and fold in order. When I play at home seems like everyone folds out of tuen. When playing in a casino it is impostant that you only act when it is your turn. If you dont, the dealer will be quick to correct you.
2) String betting. In a casino all raising must be done by either announcing "Raise" or by having the complete amount of the raise in your hand when you make your bet. If the bet to you is $10, and you come out with $10 then reach back to your stack to grab another $10 without announcing "Raise" first, you will not be allowed to raise. This is referred to as a string bet and will not be allowed.
3) The most importsnt change from either a home game or a on-line game is.... TIP YOUR DEALER. It is customary for the winner of each and every hand to trrow a toke to the dealer. This can be as lieele as .50 cents in a small game to $1, $2, or even $5-$10 in a bigger game. I even gave the dealer $100 chip in a very large pot I won that had over $1800 in it. These guys are the hardest working people at the casino and deserve the tips for controling a difficult game to deal.
other than that, same game as at your kitchen table.
Have fun,
