Well, UNited is working until May 11th with the Unions that have not agreed to it and if not then it will go to court and the judge will do it. If airline employees do anything dumb, we wont have an airline period. I do not for see that happening. The judge wont let them. The gas prices has killed the transportation industry big time and this summer will be even harder. Even Southwest is losing money. Hard to believe but it is true.

When I was up in Michigan I read that the big 3 auto industry (GM, Ford, Crysler) were looking at terminating pension plans, cutting back health benefits and not matching the 401k. So this summer will be interesting to watch as the gas goes up and up.
