Hi Pam I know the feelings you are having. I share your pain. After 36.5 years with PSA and USAirways we are going through the same thing. We just got started sooner. It is funny (not) that they can fund the executive retirement programs, pay "retension bonuses" and funded the "golden parachutes" just before they declare that they are broke and the courts let them get away with it. No pay back or nothing. The workers and stockholders get hosed by the people in charge and the courts look the other way. I imagine you are already familar with the terms HCTC and PGBC and you are right the working taxpayers are picking up the tab. Just don't expect anything to happen soon. The government works very slow. USAirway gave us up to the gov on Jan 10 of this year and we are still waiting to see if we are going to have an "adjustment" to our pensions. They keep the checks coming so don't worry about that but they may ask for some of it back. I probably won't get hit as hard as some because I am over 62 but a lot of younger buddies are already back to work. It may be several months before you settle down and know what is happening for sure. So just try to chill out and keep chipping!
