Good for you. I dont think USPS will go after you, after all, weren't they the ones that originally contacted you regarding the package? and if you have already filled out the claim, I'm sure they will deny it since the have proof of delivery, their next question to you will be if the package was damge during transit. Don't loose any sleep over it.
