released with incorrect information (such as an incorreect date or mis-spelling). As Gene noted, these are "mistakes" and not error chips as they were ALL manufactured with that same "mistake". But, there are true error chips that are to be found. In most cases, the chip is supposed to have different images or inlays on both sides and have the same on both sides. Brian Watts has (or had) one such error Halloween chip. These chips fetch a hefty price...but be very careful as there are certain types of chips (Bud Jones, I believe) where someone can peel off the inlay & place it on a different chip (which is what was purported to happen with some Borgata chips that had a $5 inlay on one side and a $25 inlay on the other -- not an error, but a scam!!)
