I think we will see more $.50 and $2.50 chips in the future. Previously, many casinos used $.50 pieces for the BJ tables. With the advent of TITO, the machines no longer take anything less than a $1 bill. So the old idea that a player will spend the $.50 pieces on a slot machine no longer applies. As far as the 6:5 payout on BJ, I once went as far as to look into selling pinback buttons that said "No way I am going to play 6:5 BJ".

If you are having problems playing at a table with higher than $5 minimums you are just in the wrong place. I just got back from 4 days in Tunica where I sat at a $3 BJ table the whole time.
