auction, as follows:
In reading the auction description it appears to me that he is focused on the lone chip being offered and the fine condition that it is in. He is telling us that of the chips he bought, from someone who said they came from an Estate, he is selling the #2 chip, while keeping the #1.
Although he is not disclosing how many he bought, he is certainly not hiding the fact that there are more than two. Aside from using the "R" word in his title, he references no documentation (current or old) that stipulates rarity of these chips.
As for the shipping, he clearly states that he will ship for $1 over cost of what the buyer selects as as as the buyer does not select .37 cents. He confuses the matter by stating what he would prefer to do, but meanwhile, its only a dollar over what you select.
Since his eBay offering is without additions/modifications, it seems self evident that he was contacted prior to putting the chip on eBay. Perhaps some of that email traffic was over bearing, perhaps not, but his listing obviously was not written in a vacuum. He came loaded for bear.
In short, the only thing I see wrong in this eBay listing is using the "R" word in the title. However, I do not have as much trouble understanding the "R" word in contect to 90 or so being available. It is when the "R" is applied to a house chip that locks my jaws.
Perhaps some were rubbed the wrong way in past/previous dealings with this guy, because based on the eBay auction alone, I see no big deal here.
Of course I can stand to be correct.
