I got mine in Galveston along with a chip marked "Beach Club" (the only one I have seen). The guy is a relative of the Maceos and good friend. He didn't charge for the chips and could care less about worth, so he certainly did not have that motivation for making it up. Our theory is that these were roulettes, but he only had a handful of them. I would have expected alot of chips if used for roulette since the guy never threw anything away.

I also remember someone from Hot Springs selling them too, but I can't remember who it was. They were supposedly found with the Galveston's "Annex" chips which somehow found there way to Arkansas.

I don't know of any connection between the Beach Club and the Annex if that clouds things up a little more.
