Morning James
I would recommend getting a copy of Eastman's book & mine. Larry has many pictures of Ca. card room chips & where he leaves off in 1997 or so I have over 8,000 listings with color, inserts, & molds. 90% plus of California chips can be id this way. As far a value goes, one can only give guides with known chips available. As Carl mentions there are many chips unavailable & really have no market established. A few high end California chips trade between known collectors for 100's of dollars, but one or two sales are hard to go by. After I finish a color guide, I plan on listing over 2,000 on my california web site. The process in doing a color edition is an undertaking that takes time & I am looking at the end of this year hopefully having a copy of the card rooms. armin
