Victor, the Luxor is pretty nice. The rooms are interesting with slanted window...the elevator is a real trip after you've had a few. Yes, in certain locations at NY you do get the roar and vibration of the coaster. Don't know anything about Mandalay, but sure looks like it couldn't be all bad.
