No, It's obsolote. Issued in 1981 when the Tropicana Atlantic City which was then owned by the Ramada hotels chain first opened.

The second issue $2.50 chip under the Ramada ownership was issued a few years later and it looked exactly the same except that the inserts were changed from Purple to Orange.

I've been looking to buy this chip for a very long time but everytime I think that it was mine it was snatched away from my grasp at the last minute so hopefully I'll get it this time.
