I walked into a refrigeration supply house.
I asked for some 3/8 inch copper pipe straps.
The counterman asked me how many I wanted. I said let me have a box.
As with most small items they were packaged 100 to the box.
I asked how much they were and he said, wait a moment.
He looked it up and found they were .06 each.
He then proceeded to a printing calculator and started entering 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, about half way through he got distracted and had to start all over again. Finally he just said give me $4.00.

As a post script, 3 weeks later that store went out of business and you wonder why.

The dumbing of America is an understatement. Unfortunately many of todays youth don't have the brains to blow on hot soup but they can all beat the hell out of you on their play station
