I have to disagree on the room rates -- as soon as Mgm took over Mirage, the good rates that Steve Wynn used to offer in the summertime disappeared and they are now high year round. I will grant you that as long as people pay high rates and fill up the hotels, the hotels have no reason to discount the rooms. But they have priced me out of the market now. Now if I want to come to Vegas, I have to stay off the strip to be able to afford it. I can't wait to see the new Circus Circus rates when the merger is complete. Even that dump will be $200 a night!
