Comes with the territory. Go play the same book of shlock songs, every Saturday night for years, eat free food and cake, drink free beer, get paid.
In the rock and blues bands, we had "integrity" played original music and some hot stuff. Got told how we sucked by the bar owners, how we charged too much, how our breaks were too long and we were too loud. Got paid less than half of the wedding band for practicing four nights a week, having all sorts of expensive equipment, and if I was lucky, got free soda at the nicer places.
I retired from professional music in 1998 after 35 years and now I do volunteer work, which isn't as profitable, but doesn't cost as much for equipment, doesn't take all my evenings, and I actually get outside and into the fresh air.
I could tell you stories! Nah, they aren't that good...
