The wife and I will be comming to Vegas for the convention. Her friend backed out on the trip, so my wife wants to bring the kids now. (Daughters: ages 14, and 12)

I would appreciate any advice on vacationing with children in Vegas. Where to stay? What sites to see? Etc... I was also wondering if children are allowed to go into any hotel, as long as they do not go into the casino part, or if there are hotels that do not allow people under 18 to even set foot inside. Would like to go to the Hard Rock, Bellagio, Palms for example, and want to know if the kids could tag along to do some shopping or something. What hotels/casinos are children forbidden to go in??

There must be some fellow chippers that have taken children along before. Looking for some tips.
