You make some valid points. However, the one point I want to make clear is there is nothing wrong in selling chips. I merely was establishing a reader should evaluate the product (article) in terms of the motive behind writing it. This helps establish for the reader whether the article is written objectively as possible. That's all. Doug writes articles to help sell his chips. There is nothing wrong with that. However,his motivation is up front and in the open where it belongs.
