I have only been there once so can't vouche for the food but if your friends are into sites the view from the top of the Stratosphere is great. Restaurant rotates so you get to see all of Las Vegas at nite. I am also surprised no one mentioned the reataurant in the Paris that overlooks the Bellagio Lake water show.
