Not jumping but wouldn't consider Barbary "Sleezy". I do find it to appear old and, probably, in tune with a lot of places that I have seen downtown. Might be intentional and part of the charm and decor. It is Victorian, I seem to recall. That would mean older than my grandmother. I have always found it to be clean though. I do agree that you wouldn't expect it to have, what are considered, to be some of the better rooms and finest restaurants in town. I have yet to play anything more than slots there. I have never stayed there myself, and have only gone there to and from and, to linger for, the shuttles. I usually stay at The Orleans and take the FREE shuttles to and from the strip.
