I just happened to think of this question. Just curious. No problem at the moment, but: Why should anyone opt to pay for insurance (fror transactions under $1000) if there is "PayPal Buyer Protection" on the auction, and you pay via PayPal? (You can easily see if there is such protection by looking for the logo near the "Seller Information" box, as in this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6153234513 )
eBay has its own protection plan, up to $200 (with $25 deductible). Both plans cover both lost-in-the-mail problems and received-but-not-as-described problems.
Am I missing something here? Seems to me that one should never pay for insurance if you are protected by PayPal Buyer Protection, especially.
