Hard to recommend a monitor. My suggestion is to go find a CompUSA and go to their monitor section. They usually have quite a selection on display - all showing the same thing so you can compare them side by side. Everyone's eyes are different and you have to find a monitor that is comfortable for you.

Be warned though, a lot of them are out of adjustment. Just cause they look washed out but are really just out of brightness/contrast/focus.
