Yes the background color will change the image. Sometimes making it worse, sometimes better.

But here's something I think most of us have had to deal with. The yellow, especially Paulson Arc Yellow does not come out the same in scans as it does on chips.

I don't know if it's my scanner and half the others scanners, or something in the color that makes it appear different in scans.

So for some engineer type, maybe you could explain why most colors look similar and my photos don't have color artifacts when they have yellow in them, but Arc Yellow causes a problem?
