Well, it was a long drive, but the result is well worth the time and expense. We now have a five year old long-haired Dachshund (1/2 miniature). She needs to lose about five lbs. (very important to keep Doxies trim) and she has immediately bonded with us. Thanks to all who expressed their sympathy for our losing our other dog. Maddie has quickly filled that void, she is so affectionate. Below is a pic of her.
