The buyer and you shouldn't try to help or inform him (her).

I used to send e-mails to bidders with "buy it now" or other links that showed that they could buy the item for MUCH LESS than what was being bid. Not once did anyone say thanks etc. However, I got a lot of "mind your own damn business" and "go **** yourself" responses.

I do not understand ebay folks who will apparently buy anything at any price but I no longer have any empathy toward them.
