Mike, we adopted Deogee as a very small puppy. One parent was Lhasa Apso, the other must have been some unusual mix. All the rest of the litter looked like the Lhasa Apso side, but Deogee was just about the funniest looking dog we have ever seen. But he was also about the smartest dog we've ever owned. As you, we have fond memories of him and his antics. I guess we really can't "replace" him, but we're opening a new chapter.
