That is EXACTLY the reason I have said NO up to now. AND just because we got one for her use does not mean she will be carring it all the time. She will be using it when she goes to the mall or on an outing that we will not be there or times she needs to be picked up but we have no specific times. Se will NEVER be allowed to take it to school (plus the school has rules against it too). I still do not think she is ready for one but I DO see TIMES she needs one. I have already discussed NOT calling her friends and 'chatting' on it. It will be given to her on those time when she needs it, and put up at other times. (that was the provision of her getting one).
