With some help from kids...all my settings for scanner got changed. I used to get beautiful scans now they all look horrid...see scan at bottom. Heck, I guess I can't even do that cause my image is too big for BB>

I have a HP Officejet G85.

Can anyone tell me how to set the settings so I can get back to some decent scans?

The Scanner settings page has:

Three things you can set:

Photo

Text as Image

Mixed Image

Each one of these has a setting for Resolution that goes from 100-9600

And Pixel Depth that lists:

24 Bit Color
8 bit color
8 bit gray scale
1 bit black/white

Any help would be appreciated.
