While we do not track the sales directly, since transactions take place between buyers and sellers, I try to keep some communication lines open in that regard. My understanding is that so far sales have totaled about $200 or slightly above for two of the three active chip sellers until last week. Have not heard from the third person, and we have a new active seller today. At least 5 more are waiting on the sidelines, one has said he will start after returning from a chip collecting trip. We hope to get a better grip on sales (for statistical purposes only) with further seller oriented developments, thus they get something extra and we get some statistics in return.
Having said that, note that sales depends on who wants what chip and on the availability of the chips people want at a particular point in time. For example, if you were to list some chips that someone wanted, and at a reasonable price, I do not see why they would not eventually sell. I have not done this particular analysis yet, but I would presume that the chip buyer population on eBay is finite anyway and many, if not most, are people who have heard of Collecting Fun by now, and have visited the site. I did make an analysis of how many people visit this board, and you would be surprised at the result (of course Greg Susong would have much better statistics). I also had tables at three casino collectibles shows, and am getting ready for the fourth one (Arizona Charlie's).
