My favorite Foreign $1 chip is from the Aruba Caribbean. The chip looks better than the scan shows. I don't know why scanners have problems with red chips. I like chips with parrots on them and this is a 1st issue from the 1st casino on Aruba and maybe the 1st casino in the Caribbean outside of Cuba and Puerto Rico. The 1st issue series from the Aruba Caribbean have similar inlays, except for the denomination, and are in very high demand. I don't know of any other issue of Caribbean casino chips where each denomination regularly bring in over $100 each when offered for sale to collectors.

I found a $5 1st issue Aruba Caribbean chip at a coin show years ago. When I had a dealer table at the CCGTCC convention a couple of years later, I put the chip in my display case to show it off, it was not for sale. A gentleman admired the chip and asked how much it was. I told him it was not for sale. He said that everything has a price, how much is it? So I made up what I thought was a crazy price no one would ever pay for it. He said OK and wrote me a check. Can you guess who the gentleman was?
