...in a bunch of small ways!

I have dabbled in mutual funds before but had never bought individual stocks. That changed this week as I opened an account with Scottrade. I now own 100 shares of Caesar's (CZR) which owns Bally's, Paris Las Vegas, the Flamingos, Hilton, Grand Casinos and the Caesar's Casinos. I also now own 100 shares of Isle of Capri (ISLE) with casinos all over the place.

I also bought into a couple of the gaming industry suppliers. I now own 200 shares of Gaming Partners International (GPIC) which is PaulSon, Bud Jones and B&G, and I now own 100 shares of Alliance Gaming (AGI) which manufactures gaming machines and casino security systems under the name Bally Gaming and Systems, and they own casinos in Sparks NV and Vicksburg MS. I'm planning on buying stock in IGT, but the price hasn't hit my target price yet.

This is fun! It's like playing poker but you're a lot less likely to lose your whole stack with one bet!
