Chip Release Newsletter

Did you receive your emailed newsletter from me earlier today? What's that? You're not signed up for it? Then you may be missing out! Sign up today by sending me an email at this address that says "Sign Me Up" in the subject line and I'll add your email to the list of over 1400 chippers who regularly (sometimes grin) receive an email informing them about the latest additions to www.lasvegas-chips.com and www.TyrusRex.com. It's easy to sign up, easy to read, and easy to unsubscribe if you decide it's not for you.

I'm off to the Las Vegas Casino Collectible meeting in a few minutes so I'll see you there!

Below is a copy of the email I sent out earlier today:

Hi ChequeList members!

Happy New Year!!

Well, we had a great December. We all did some traveling and some relaxing and a whole lot of nothing! It was a great chance to hit the reset button. The bad news is that the website really fell behind in listing new chips even though I continued to buy them as they were released. The good news, now, is that I've got almost all of them uploaded and available AND I'm totally refreshed and ready to get back to work!

And I have a New Year's Resolution to share: Every day of 2005, unless I am out of town, I will add at least one chip to this website. It may be a new release, it may be a house chip, or it may be an older chip or a non value chip, but I will add a chip-a-day all year. My goal is to pump up the available chips for sale here so that there is something for everyone! Just click on the brown "New Casino Chips" chip in the top left corner of the Home Page to see all the newly added chips today and everyday this year - unless I'm out of town which I will be several times to attend chip shows around the country

Not only have I updated all the new Limited Editions, but I've added the new Palms $1 house chips for 2005 and a couple of Aladdin house chips. They issued a $4 and a $5 chip in the Aladdin mold that have a "Planet Hollywood Coming 2006" inlay on them. The Hard Rock also released a new house chip - "Shady Abe" - good ole Honest Abe wearing a cool set of sunglasses! Look for all of these on the New Casino Chips page under House Chips.

We're kicking of the Super Bowl hype by making the January Chip of the Month a Harrah's LE from the "Big Game" from a few year's ago. Of course, the NFL frowns on anyone using the words Super and Bowl combined, especially if you're from Las Vegas because they don't beileve that people should wager on the game so all the chips are either called "Big Game" or "Super Sunday". We've added a few from this year already and will be adding more as they are released.

In keeping with the politically correct world of today, the casinos have not only issued Merry Christmas chips, but also Season's Greetings and Happy Holidays. We have them all so pick whichever holiday greeting you prefer!

The NFR rodeo has come and gone, and they took with them the smell of the cattle which we got to enjoy for a few weeks last month. Several casinos issued single rodeo chips with Sam's Town and Stardust releasing five piece sets. While I was at Sam's Town, I was able to purchase some uncirculated rodeo chips from 2003 that we were previously sold out of so I've added them to the site. Apparently, Wrangler and the NFR aren't as upset about free publicity as the NFL so these chips have their names and logos on them. Yeehaw! Don't forget the tradition of four cowboy chips released by the Gold Coast in both the $5 and $25 denomination.. (NOTE: Chips do not include the smell of the rodeo - but I can add it for an additional fee.)

Happy chipping and have a GREAT 2005!

Tyrus
