I’ve discussed this idea with several members of the Building Fund committee and got their okay to proceed. I thought I would try something different from last year… I’d like to put together at least 50 grab bags to sell at the convention’s Building Fund table. The proposed price will be $10 a bag.

If anyone has any goodies that they would like to contribute that would be terrific. If you live near a casino and can hit them up for donations, also terrific. The items should be able to fit within a bag with the dimensions of 10x6x4 inches leaving a bit of room to close the bag. Other than that constraint, anything casino or gambling related would be great… Chips, cards, keys, tokens, postcards, etc. I already have a bunch of stuff that I plan to contribute.

I would also love to seed the bags with several more valuable items to make things a bit more interesting. Any dealer who contributes can include a business card to be put in the bag along with their donation.

If you want to contribute something, please don’t post what you will send. I’ll probably post some teasers once I’ve received the material, but for now it should be “top secret”.
