They can be almost any size. I have seen them big enought to hold huge (20ft x 20ft) aircraft structure to small hand held devices the size of a cigar (with a large suitcase full of electronics attached to a wire). Since one would be looking at the edge of a chip, for these purposes the head would need to be quite small. I have no idea what they would cost.
