This was one of the casinos in Toledo during the 1940's. Run by the Licovolli Mob and the Purple Gang. Licovolli was a dominant mob boss based out of Clevaeland, but very active as well as detroit.

We even have one of Licovolli's relatives involved with our hobby. A friend and fellow chipper active on this very chip board. I'll keep you all guessing who it is for now, but I'm sure he'll read this and surprise everyone with a "It's Me" post.

Anyways, that's the story on this chip. The one dollar is available in both red and black inserts, all small key mold. There is some debate on the other mold. The debate is interesting because although it's the only Hollywood chip with that mold, the font style is almost exact.

Interesting though, I have yet to see the black insert $1.00 chip in anything besides well used. The others have all been seen in very good to almost new condition. I even have one in almost unc condition. But not the case with the black insert $1.00
