The Burt company suceeded USPC in the making of crest and seals from the 1940s into the 1960s.

Below is my best guesstimate of the evolution of C&S from USPC through Burt.

I'm am guessing that USPC made the 189os to 1900s chips. They are quite dissimilar to the normal USPC chips
