Same trouble in Minnesota
In Response To: BEWARE OF THESE A.C. CHIPS ()

I was at Grand Casino Mille Lacs (Minnesota) shortly after these Bud Jones chips were introduced. Of course, like the Borgata chips, the Mille Lacs chips have what amounts to pasted on inlays. I was at Mille Lacs during the middle of the night and it was very quiet in the casino. This gave me a chance to talk to several Blackjack Dealers about chip collecting without disturbing the game, as I was the only one at each table. Well, after much talk about chip collecting, one of the Blackjack Dealers tracked me down during her break and offered to sell me a chip. Guess what? It was a " rare error double denomination $25/$5 chip". She wanted $200 for it and said it was very rare, but she just might be able to find one or two more examples for me (at the same price). I did explain to her that anyone could very easily duplicate her "rare" chip, so I wasn't interested in buying it.
