I bought this chip on ebay, and the scan did not show the hot stamping. But, I bought it very inexpensively, and the chip is not worth much to begin with. In any case, it is still the chip I wanted, so I do not intend to return or raise a fuss. I don't think the seller, who has many of these, knew about the extra stamping.
