I guess three ring binders are allmost as bad as boxes, but that's what I use.

I use mylar flips (not vinal, MYLAR!) with the chip in front and ID insert in back. I 'hang' these on twenty pocket coin pages in the three ring binders.

This method of storage makes it very easy to rearrange chips when I need to squeeze in a new one.
