Nicely said Gene,
I for one, hope that LE's never disappear. LE's are what first brought my attention to the chip collecting hobby. My first chip I collected was the Luxor 1st Anniversary chip on my first of many trips to Las Vegas. I now currently have over 500 chips of various denominations and ages from casinos all over(as well as about 85 Silver Strikes.. But that's a whole another story). I don't have a specialized area of collecting, so right now I just collect whatever strikes my fancy, especially the Palms and HR chips. My collection grows each week, and I can't wait to see what the mail bring me today!!! My only regret is that I don't have more money to really indulge myself like I should. LOL
