Your comparison of eBay sellers ...

Dell ships by UPS and, because it is a large corporation selling multiple copies of the same item, can easily "self-insure" its products. The "cost" of such self-insurance is factored into the pricing structure of Dell's products.

The real Stewby back, making friends and influencing people.

I am not an eBay seller, but if I was and sold an expensive item (particularly one that was unique or otherwise difficult or impossible to replace), I would ship it insured. I would add the cost of insurance to the shipping and handling charges. I would not make this optional, it would be a required part of the deal, spelled out up front. If you, as a potential buyer, were not willing to pay for that insurance, you could go find another auction to bid on. The plain fact is that the cost of insurance is always going to be borne by the buyer, one way or the other. That's the way business works, whether you like it or not.

BTW, Stewby, are you ever going to prove that I "openly threatened" you with the "apparently secret 'do not trade list'"? Or be a man and admit that you made that accusation falsely?
