Last night was my last night in New Orleans. Well...at for three weeks.
I thought..."What to do tonight?" "Hit Harrahs? Hit Boomtown-Harvey? Hit Treasure Chest again??" Hmmm...what to do...what to do?
I started out with a simple dinner and then a little stroll down Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. So there I was....strolling...watching people and enjoying the sights and sounds. As I got further down the street I remembered a little blues clubs i liked to go to there, called of all things "The Blues Club". Clever name huh? Well to my surprise, it turned out to be the well known blues singer/guitarist Brian Lee. Brian and his four piece band did some amazing guitar work. The guitarist with him for the last 2 years is absolutely amazing. I think he sounds like Robben Ford! He did a rendition of Eric Clapton's "Crossroad" that blew my socks off.
I camped out there in the Blues Club for a couple of sets and had a few drinks. I was one hap[py camper. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!
