People say that the death penalty doesn't deter crime. Well, they might be right but I don't know of a single criminal that has been executed that ever came back to commit another.
On the other hand, many that have been set free have killed and killed again.

Sure, we have a bunch of bleeding hearts, ACLU included that will come and rally on behalf of the criminal's rights.
Sure there are instances when the executed might have been innocent as there are guilty that are set free.
The question is who comes to fight for the rights of the victims.

The appeals process stinks and costs the taxpayers millions if not billions. Speedy trial, If found guilty 12 months to file appeals after which you have a date with the chair.
