Does this have to do with the Friendliest Little Town in Nevada? Oh wait that must be someplace else like Reno. Elko was voted the "Best Small Town" in America.

Thanks for the warning. I've only cabbed it around town or taken the casino vans. I always wanted to rent a car and see Spring Creek and Deeth (don't ask me why) and some of the ghost towns.

They sure don't hassle the locals for speeding.

By the way, in Elko if someone steps into the crosswalk, STOP! They are known for being very heavy on this law, especially between Gold Country and Red Lion. Locals know it, truckers know it, and you step off, they screech to a halt.

I wonder what AAA has to say about them as a speed trap?
