Tonights banknote selection comes from the much heard about country of Iraq. This note was both the largest and the last banknote printed with Saddam Hussein on it. On the front Saddam Hussein is to the right and to the left is the Minaret of the Great Mosque at Samarra. On the back is the Aribic Astrolabe to the right and Abbaside Palace (I think). I do not know what the collector book value is because I don't have my book handy but it is around $12~13 UNC. They are selling between $5 and $12 +s/h on eBay right now. There is NO exchange rate as these are now obsolete. The note shown below was at one time worth $30,000 USD because the exchange was approx 1 Dinar/3 Dollars. These have the silver thread and the holographic foil anti-counterfeiting devices as well as watermarkings.
