If the shipment was insured you have every right to request a replacement or refund from the seller.
If it was not insured, then its on you. Eat the loss and get on with your life.
The mail-person on my route is a total disaster. I am always finding my neighbors mail in my box, and I'm sure that a lot of my neighbors recieve my mail (and become inadvertant chip collectors).
In the past two years I think I've lost 15-20 shipments(a non-insured) because of this mail-person.
