I use the 2" by 2" cardboard holders for 100% of my collection. I have never had a problem with any damage to my chips. The only problem I have noticed is that when I take the chip w/ it's cardholder still intact on the chip out of the Cowens pages, that the cellophane/cellophane type substance on the cardboard older "sticks" to the Cowens pages.

Is using the cardboard holders NOT RECOMMENDED for HIGH VALUE CHIPS?
