Caesars IX Roulette Chips - A Time Line

Shown below are 5 different IX Caesars Roulette Chips. All of these chips were used at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. From my "Harvesting" and purchase records I would date the use of the chips as follows:

From left to right.

Top row
# 1. Hat & Cane Mold - Full Black Wreath Design - late 1980's (before I started collecting/harvesting roulettes).

# 2. Roulette Mold - 2 Green Laurel leaves - early 1990's (I harvested some chips from this Series in 1992)

# 3. 8 Suits mold - Gold Caesars head - Mid 1990's (I harvested chips from this Series in 1995)

2nd row
# 1. Plain Mold - Laurel leaves match the color of the chip and Caesars head. - (I purchased some of these chips in 1999) I don't think these chips were in use very long, possible between 1997 and 1998. These were the autosort type chips and I think Caesars only used them for a trial period with the Autosort Roulette Machines.

# 2. Hat and Cane Mold - No Laurel leaves, chip color matches color of Caesrs head. - I got the first of these chips in February of 1996. As far as I know these chips are still in use. I think they were put into play in 1996 - replaced for a short time in 1997 or 1998 with the above mentione Autosort chips - then put back into use a second time and they are still in use. (I harvested some of these chips in January of 2000)

Rich I believe the chip you have is the 2nd chip in the top row.

That's all I know about these chips.
Till later,
