$20 is a small investment to make. It barely covers the cost of producing and mailing the magazine.

I really can't see why ANYONE who is remotely interested in this hobby doesn't join.

It Seems that some people are critical of others, their dealings and practices but don't bother to join their organization . What is wrong with this picture?
